Villa del Palmar Cancún sits on the pristine beaches of Playa Mujeres, about 25 minutes north of the Hotel Zone and 35 minutes from Cancún International Airport, with Isla Mujeres just offshore.

Its 415 suites and penthouses have contemporary décor, balconies with great views and kitchenettes or full kitchens. Five pools (including an adults-only pool), six bars, a kids club, a gym and an award-winning spa complete the resort.

Dining includes La Casona STK steakhouse, Davino Italian, Zamá regional Mexican and Hiroshi Japanese, and guests may also dine at sister resort Garza Blanca Cancún in the evening.

The presentation

This rate is a promotion of the resort's vacation club (Villa Group (Villa del Palmar / Garza Blanca)). In return, both travelers attend a 90-minute presentation during the stay - never on the arrival or departure day. There is no obligation to buy; missing the presentation means the resort charges its full rate.

Fees, extras and changes

At the resort

On its verification call the resort collects a resort fee of $40 per night and a one-bedroom suite fee of $50 per night. Holiday-season stays (Dec 20 – Jan 6 and Mar 28 – Apr 12) also pay a one-time $80 holiday fee on that call. This hotel only books one-bedroom suites, so the suite upgrade is mandatory.

Extra guests / nights

Extra adult $150 per night; extra night $300 (double occupancy); extra room $150 per adult per night; extra transportation $50 for 2 adults. Room options: 2 adults + 2 children, 3 adults + 1 child (extra adult paid), or 4 adults (2 extra adults paid).

Changes & cancellations

Cancellation: no charge up to 21 days before check-in; one night's charge with less than 21 days. Date changes: free up to 21 days before check-in; $50 with less than 21 days. No-show: the full rate is charged. If a traveler does not meet the resort's requirements at check-in, the resort charges its full (rack) rate.
